Over twenty years of experience specializing in Employee Benefits. Specialties include large multi-provincial employers as well as groups primarily in the Okanagan Valley, which are fully insured or self-funded. Key strengths include expert negotiation skills with providers and unions, creative problem solving, effective plan design, and alternative funding strategies.

  • Graduated from Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Admin. (1987) and a Master of Arts Degree in Public Admin. (1988)
  • Experience in the Group Life, Health and Pension/RRSP Industry since 1989.
  • Became an independent Employee Benefits Consultant in Vernon in 1995.
  • Successfully completed the Canadian Securities Course and the Level 1 and Level 2 Life Licensing for the Province of B.C.

Has been involved in all aspects of group marketing, underwriting, servicing, as well as claims settlement.

Key strengths are interpretation of Collective Agreements, employee relations, procedure development as well as resolving administrative issues, and disability and health claims management. Has excellent research and investigative skills and extensive knowledge of personnel and payroll issues.
